East Texas CASA

East Texas CASA is a program that trains volunteers to advocate for children who have been abused and neglected and brought into care by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.  Our volunteers receive at least 30 hours of training and are sworn in as Court Appointed Special Advocates(CASA).  They are considered Guardian ad Litems(GALs) in the 307th District Court in Longview (Gregg County).  Clearly speaking, CASAs are individuals willing to stand up for the children whose voices often go unheard.
