Legal Assistance

The Greater Longview United Way in partnership with Lone Star Legal Aid provides free legal assistance to low-income individuals and families who have immediate needs but cannot afford an attorney.

Our goal is to help clients and their families:

     •   Create safe and secure lives through protective orders, temporary housing, long-term housing, divorce, custody and child support.

     •   Preserve sanitary and affordable housing by addressing unfair landlord practices and preventing evicton.

     •   Achieve stability through adoption, custody, guardianship, legitimating and similar action.
